After it Rains

I love how the earth feels after it rains.

It sings songs of tenderness,

Songs of forgiveness for the “Strong Winds”

that have destroyed the beautiful and bountiful plants that had yet to grow

Love is shown after it rains

The sun never shines brighter than after the rain falls…

I think it’s safe to say the sun is my heart now…

Whose rays of patience release kindness.

And I think it’s safe to say my mind is the sky now…

The darkened clouds are beginning to drift away.

So I am the earth.

You were my rain.

And I love how the earth feels after it…
