Lazy afternoons
The ones when i don’t speak
Is where i find myself at home
And where i find myself at peace

Lately i been spending time
On too many pointless things
So i cancelled all my plans today
To nurture all my needs

Please don’t try to call today
It won’t be worth your time
And please don’t feel some type of way
When you get the busy line

Cause I’m spread out on my bedroom floor
Listening to Solange
Singing don’t touch my hair real loud
Here lately it’s my favorite song

Dancing in my fuzzy socks
I lit a candle to set the mood
Living single buzzing in the background
Regine bragging bout her new do

I got up and cooked a meal
a little indulgence couldn’t hurt
Cause been running round all week
I might even make dessert

Lazy afternoons.

What the week tries to take from me
